I really enjoyed Jessica's narrative about how she evolved to become an artist. I wanted to remix her narrative, not to retell her story, but to remix her art itself. Not that I think I can make her art better, I just thought it would be fun to try this artform for myself. I first tried to make my own drawing using her exact technique, but it turns out....I'm not that great. So I decided to go in another direction with this remix. I decided to take two of her pieces and make them my own. Instead of doing straigt edged geometrical shapes, I chose to do all curved shapes and arches. Her pieces make shapes that connect, so I tried to make my curved shapes disconnected (for the most part). I think they turned out pretty nifty...not coffee lounge wall worthy, but nifty none the less.
