kids these days

Page history last edited by Anonymous 2 yrs ago

Alrighty, well I was thinking I should post something interesting this week. I was at work all day today, so i decided to do a post about my job. I think I have the most awesome job of all time, I watch a bunch of kids all day. They make me laugh so much, I almost never have a bad day at work. Some days are difficult when I have to punish them, but sometimes that can be quite the stress reliever, just let loose and scream at the nearest child.

I was on the playground with them today, and it is amazing what you will hear if you just listen to them. As with any school, there is the typical group of pretty girls sitting in a circle talking about dolls and boys, the bully girl bossing all the younger boys around, the older kids throwing rocks at the younger kids, and the nerds sitting on the fence thinking they are the coolest thing since power rangers, etc...

I even found out that some of my little second graders have girlfriends and boyfriends! wtf!? One of the girls in my class currently has two boyfriends, and is having "the hardest decision ever!" trying to figure out which one to keep and which to dump.....i told her to take 'em both, play the field while your young kid!

And oh my goodness, today I told this boy (loganlicious) to do something that he obviously did not want to do and he said, "Shut up woman! Leave me the heck alone!" After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I let him have a piece of my mind...oh the things I would say if it wasnt a christian school.

I absolutely had to post this awesome song they came up with on the playground today. I dont know how they can just sit there and make this stuff up! unfortunatley they thought it was so good that they decided to sing it all f***ing day! but anyways here goes...

*Sing to the tune of I believe I can fly (sorta)*

"I believe I can fly, I got shot by the FBI

All I wanted was a chicken wing, so I burned down a burger king

I hit my dog with a frying pan, he ran me over with a minivan

Said goodbye to the human race, and we floated into outerspace

Then we died in a laboratory, and thats the end of our tragic story."

These kids are freaking awesome! Sometimes I feel like I should be down there in the dirt playing with them, not watching them. Wait...how old am I? would it look weird if a 20 year old was playing in the mud with a bunch of 7 year olds?

anyways, I could go on for pages about these crazy kids, but a picture is worth a thousand words, and I just so happened to have my cell phone on me to take a few.

The two on the right are "dating" can you believe that dating! in the 2nd grade!

We had balloon animal day....all i can make is a dog.

They told me to make something other than a dog, so i made this thing, and it just kept growing.

This was the final masterpiece (somewhere around 9 or 10 balloons), we named it, "a monkey in a tree...I think"
