blog 1 week 3

Page history last edited by Anonymous 3 yrs ago

I was reading other's blogs from week three and I noticed that a few of you did something on the journey vs the destination, so I thought I would join in the trend and throw in my two cents. One blog I liked was crystal's blog, that talked about "home" being the destination. And I have to say that I agree with her. I feel that the "journey" is going to work, going to school, running errands etc... The destination is not just the home, but it is IN the home. We go to school to have a better more fulfilling job, we have a better job to make more money, we make more money to support ourselves and our families. So yes the home is the physical destination but the betterment of the family is really the bigger destination to me. I agree with her that it is the concept of home that is what we return to night after night that makes the day worth getting through. And for me, my home is my family.

And this also ties in with Jessica's blog, when she was talking about her journey..."Every class I take, every club I join, even where I work now is all to make me look better so I can get into grad school..." I dont mean to take this quote out of its original context, but it does kind of flow with what I was thinking about my own journey. I want to better myself to be a better person, for myself and for the people around me (family, loved ones) And everything I am doing right now is to get into a good school and get a good education and eventually a good career.

I don't think you took my quote out of context. I didn't focus on the family part but it is basically the same idea. --Jess
