As I am writing my portion of our group proposal I am beginning to recognize patterns between the experiences in our seminar this semester as well as on the wiki itself. It will be interesting to look back and be able to see the "picture" that has resulted out of all the initial chaos. It isn't completely clear to me yet, but the visual summation is beginning to form. Interestingly enough, regardless of our diverse paths, we have all found a rhythm within the course, within ourselves and as a part of the group. From a purely psychological standpoint it is not dissimilar from the formation of a family...the chaos that occurs when each new member is born into a family, the turbulence that is an inherent part of families (thinking of large family gatherings here - particularly Thanksgiving meals with 14 very diverse people in attendance), the rhythm that is found within a family as we settle into the daily routine and it encompasses us as we fulfill our roles within the family (youngest, oldest, etc.) and eventually the sense of harmony we feel as we reflect on the overall scheme of the family and accept the good, the bad and the ugly and know it is all just a part of being a family. Very interesting indeed.

It was a busy weekend filled with preparations for finals and inventory at the bookstore! Regardless, our final project is nearing completion, our paper is done and our powerpoint presentation is quickly coming together as well. Thanks in advance to Jessica, Meagan and Stephen for all their hard work to make it come together - it has been my pleasure to work with (and get to know) all of you! Now I'm off to prepare for tomorrows finals. Adios!

It is way too early in the morning to wax poetic (although I'm certain Crystal would be able to!)so I will keep it simple. I'm tired...very, very tired...and feeling unbelievably old. Finals week does that to me. Most of the time it is fun and energizing to be a "non-traditional" student - but, like every other student on campus, during finals it is simply drudgery. Perhaps if it wasn't called 'finals' week it wouldn't carry so much power. I say we call it ... I don't know ... 'Ted' . I feel better already. ;> Good luck on your 'teds' everyone ... seriously ... it will all be over soon. (This phrase will be on a t-shirt by next semester - I'm thinkin' I could sell a million of 'em!) - SM

Final entry ... on this wiki ... it was a great afternoon yesterday as we came together to present our final projects. Many kudos to everyone. The presentations were wonderfully intense and creative. Applauds to Crystal and Hend for sharing their individual projects in such meaningful ways ... to Brian and Caitlin for sharing about homelessness and its relationship to refugees all over the world ... to the other members of my group for being such great teammates and to Cory, David, Kevin and Kris for sharing their video presentation. What a great way to end the semester!
