It was good to be back in the cohort yesterday! Thanks to everyone for their positive thoughts, good wishes and caring during my recent illness. I am really looking forward to everyone's final projects. It has been a dynamic, interesting, challenging semester and it's going to be exciting to cap it all off with the "party" on May 2nd!

Many thanks to my fellow team members for doing such a terrific job on their segments of our presentation! It is going to be really great! Our process has mirrored the route that the class has taken in many ways, starting out with a somewhat chaotic plan, working independently to find our rhythms and then coming back together completely in synch to reach harmony! Very cool.

Thanks in advance to Brian for helping the group with the transportation of our backdrop to the Globe! It is greatly appreciated! ::::::::Brian:::::::: Also, thanks to Jessica for securing our venue! :::::::Jessica::::::: And to Meagan and Steven for all their wonderful feedback, ideas and creativity! :::::::::Meagan:::::::: ::::::::Steven:::::::

-Hey, Thanks to you for getting all the materials together! I am getting excited to see our final project all together :) I think I have all my pannels planned out, they all go with the theme, but not necessarily with each other...it will be interesting. I will also look for those cartoon clips, but I think it may be difficult, I'll email you if I find anything. --Meagan

No worries Meagan. It has been my pleasure to get the materials together. I am really looking forward to seeing how it all comes together. I think it's gonna be really cool. Let me know what you find in regard to the cartoon clips. - SM

The group proposal site is looking good and I posted some more "in progress" photos for anyone who is interested in seeing how it is all coming together. You can see them here. I am hoping to complete my portion of the proposal sometime tonight and get it posted so we can move forward to cut and paste the audio portions for Stephen to record for the powerpoint presentation (which I am starting to put together as well.) So, now I'm off to get ready for work ... wishing I could stay home and work on this project instead - much more fun - even though I do enjoy my job! :)

As classes wind down the stress is ramping up. I am looking forward to the semester being over but at the same time am experiencing some sadness as classmates go their separate ways. In the education division it is cause for celebration as people move into their final internships and step into their own classrooms as professional educators so it is a good thing - but, still difficult - especially when it seems like there are still so many classes to complete before I get there...but, it will be worth it in the end.

So, I'm off to complete my essay and work on various projects for the classes that are coming to an end and try to gear up for the classes yet to come.

Blog 4 - April 25, 2007

I have made progress on both the group powerpoint, my portion of our proposal and some of the artwork for the visual presentation in the midst of studying for finals, completing other projects and well, living life. It has been a productive week and I am very grateful to be feeling better! As it turns out, my illness was perfectly timed. If it had been a week later I never would've been able to finish the semester! So, I reminded again that everything happens as it supposed to...even when it doesn't seem like it at the time. :)

I am looking forward to hearing about Crystal's final project today and spending time with Group 3 as we continue to work together to make it all happen! Later...I'm off to do some more prep and writing!
