Blog #2: Custom building and re-making my old desktop gaming PC.

Okay, so this may be off topic and mostly irrelevant to class, but I feel I must share one of my main passions in life with you all. Computers and the modification of such. Recently, as you all know I let out a furious rage after losing my first defintional argument and broke my PC. Well it turns out after much debugging I found out what the problem was/is, my video card. After much deliberation and ponderance, I decided I was going to order all new parts for my prexisting PC and make it more advanced than it was before.

For those of you who know something about computer parts, here is a brief list of what I ordered to replace in my PC:

- OCZ 600W Powersupply (needed more power to support the new video card)

- 1GB DDR500 PC4000 Crucial Ballistix Memory (designed specifically for overclocking)

- ATI Powercolor 1650XT Video Card

- Koolance PC2-601 Case w/ integrated watercooling (going to watercool my northbridge chipset)

- DVI to DVI cable for my monitor to connect to the new video card

I'm currently disassembling the Koolance case, sanding it down and repainting with a textured black paint. I think I'm going to provide some pictures in the next couple of days showing the transistion from just pieces of black metal to a complete running monster of a gaming machine.
